Description
A Georgian sweetheart ring resplendent with rhodolite garnets and an old-cut diamond set with beautifully beaded edges.
HISTORY
Garnet, the birthstone for January, has long been a symbol of love and fidelity and used in sentimental jewelry throughout the ages. The quatrefoil symbol (literally "four leaves") traces its popularity back to the Gothic and Renaissance eras, though its roots can more probably found in Islamic architecture and were used as far back as the Byzantine era. Representative of the heraldic rose, it is most commonly used in history as a symbol of good luck, health and fortune.
